Got a craving for fast food? Skip the coffee, study says
This one is particularly unhappy for me. My thinking was that fat reduced the glycemic index of foods, and was therefore beneficial when splurging on carbs. But no-oh! These subjects seem to have been given only fat, and still their blood glucose levels were elevated.
I'd love to know if reactive hypoglycemia is reduced by fat in a meal, and whether any benefits from that are offset by the inflammatory consequences of elevated glucose.
